Loudon Motors Ford Reviews the 2019 Mustang BULLITT

The 2019 Mustang BULLITT pays homage to the 1968 Mustang GT Fastback that was an integral part of the movie “BULLITT”, starring Steve McQueen. This year, as the movie celebrates its 50th anniversary, Ford brought back the famous model, but with a generous amount of upgrades. Although the technology and power of the car is better than the 1968 model, the 2019 Mustang BULLITT pays its respects, as it comes in the original classic Dark Highland Green exterior paint and chrome accents on the grille, windows and rims.

The BULLITT model is equipped with a 5.0L V8 engine and is only offered with a manual 6-speed transmission with a gear shifter featuring a cue ball, which is another reference to the movie. The Dark Highland green is not be the only color option available, as Ford offers it in shadow black, as well. The Mustang has the same standard equipment as the Mustang GT Premium and the GT Performance Package. It features an active valve performance exhaust system with new Black NitroPlate™ exhaust tips, as well as new Open Air Induction System and Shelby GT350 intake manifold with 87mm throttle bodies and powertrain control module calibration for optimal performance. This Mustang gets 15 miles per gallon in the city and 25 on the highway, on average. In regards to technology, it displays a 12-inch LCD digital instrument cluster with that will show a Mustang BULLITT specific welcome screen, as well as all the upgrades that are specific to the packages you can choose from. Pricing for the vehicle starts around $46,600, which is its basic package.
